Thank you. I was partially inspired from a true event. I was visiting family during a break from school one late afternoon, they lived near some marshy area and there was a weird heavy fog as I drove up to the house.
We got out, went to the porch that faced the water and just watched as this dense cloud was rolling out from the bank. Neighbors were watching it too both fascinated and freaked out about it.
good way to raise tension just through description of the house and surrounding grounds.

Fog definitely gives off that sort of feeling. Almost magical. For good or bad.
